Garden Huckleberry Pie Filling

5c water
2c huckleberies
1c sugar
Mix above ingredients until soft, approx 30 min. Then mash a bit with potato masher.
3/4c permaflo
1/2tsp salt
1c water
Add these ingredients to fruit mixture and cook until thickened.

Remove from heat and add 1/4c lemon juice, this brings out the flavor.
Optional-add 1/3c red raspberry or cherry jello if desired
Serve pies with whipped cream, yogurt, or ice cream.
