Best ever recipe for strawberries:Stem and slice berries into bowl, then sprinkle with handful of chopped basil, a little sugar and pour on real aged balsamico which is expensive but worth it. Roughly 2 cups berries to handful of basil to 2 tablespoons each sugar and vinegar.(You can cook down less expensive balsamic to concentrate it.) Let berries sit for 30” before serving. Good with shortbread cookies on the side.
